Albani Giraf Beer
— Albanis famous Giraffe turns 60!
The story of the giraffe goes back to the 60s, when a man on his way home from the city fed the giraffe Kalle in Odense ZOO with some beech branches. What he didn't know, however, was that the trees had just been sprayed, so the next morning was the giraffe found dead. Albani Bryggeri then took a fresh decision; a "sponsor beer" was created under the motto "every time you drink a giraffe or two, you give a 'daler' to Odense ZOO". And the Fynbos' thirst for long necks meant that they soon got not just one, but two whole new giraffes for the animal park.

In 2022 the famous Albani Giraf Beer needed a full design makeover due to a change of the paper used for the label, but also to adapt it to the new design changes of the can, but with the Giraffe as centerpiece of the label.
